Welcome to the Lakeland RC website

For those just dropping in, the buttons on the left-side of the page are links to pages within the site.  Some buttons, like the "Events" or "Club Gallery" buttons, have pages within the page.  Please "click away" and tour the site.  If there is something you are looking for but can't find it, please send a note through the "Contact Us" button and let us know.

If you remember - or better yet have photos - of when the club used to fly at the Pabst Farms, please send us a note through the Contact Us page!!  We would really enjoy seeing some pictures or reading/hearing some stories from when the club was first formed.

Let us help you!!  Click on the "Old Planes?" button on the left for more information.  We will put your old plane/s to good use either for members-in-need or refurbish them for the club raffle.  It doesn't matter what kind of condition they are in!  We always have people willing to rebuild those "ugly ducklings".

So many planes, so little time....

Welcome to Flying 2012, the field is OPEN!!

For those just coming out of your cacoons, please read the following before you come out to fly.  If you haven't been flying over the Winter, go through your plane/s before flying.  Make sure that your transmitter and receiver batteries are holding their charge.  Go over your linkages to ensure they are secure and cycle your controls, just in case, to make sure there are no dead-spots on your servos, indicating a chipped or broken gear.  Double check servo lead and battery connectors to make sure they are secure, you don't want to lose a control surface, or a battery, while in the air.  Check your LiPo packs to make sure they are not "puffed".  It's also a good idea to start your engine and run it up at home, if possible to do safely, to make sure nothing has changed or seals have dried out over the Winter, this will save a lot of frustration at the field!  It's a good idea to keep a checklist of items you need (if you don't regularly do this, at least the first few trips to the field).   You don't want to get to the field and be missing some small item, like your transmitter, fuel or a battery.  Did you remember to pack a spare glow plug?
